12 Aug 2011 | Action for Happiness
It's been a traumatic week here in the
UK, with riots showing the worst side of human nature. But it's
also been inspiring to see communities uniting to clean up and find
positive ways forward. Here are some observations on how the
riots relate to the happiness
Action for Happiness in
Our schools should be about more than
just academic success. We need to help young people develop the
capabilities to lead happy lives and contribute to society. In
partnership with the National Children's Bureau, we plan to launch
initiative to help schools put happiness and
well-being at the heart of their activities. Please get in touch if
you'd like to be involved.
Don't just measure it, take

doing surveys isn't enough. We're calling for urgent
action to increase well-being, not just measure it.
