On 28 March 2013, a packed out audience of over 1000 people gathered in Friends House, London for a wonderful evening of wisdom, discussion and inspiration with Dr Jon Kabat-Zinn, the internationally acclaimed scientist, author and father of modern mindfulness teaching.

About Jon Kabat Zinn

Jon Kabat-Zinn

Dr Jon Kabat-Zinn is a scientist, writer, and meditation teacher engaged in bringing mindfulness into mainstream society. He is professor emeritus at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, where he was founding director of the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society.

Dr Kabat-Zinn is the father of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, a modern, secular form of meditation. During his career, he has taught mindfulness to a wide variety to audiences, including groups of judges, business leaders, lawyers, clergy, Olympic athletes, environmental activists and many more.

His work has contributed to a growing movement of mindfulness into the healthcare system, schools, corporations and beyond. He is the author of many books, including
