  • I always fight back beating the sad or angry feeling, you can't embrace it, so you have to fight it, In tough times I always look for things that make me happy again, my friends, my family, some kinda of humor, movies, music, whatever it is, that's actually how I found this website, I was fighting a sad time so I looked up for happy things in the internet and now I'm all better, trying to share this feeling with the world

  • Almost everything! I was very sedentary and ith no objective in life, now I'm at college, and working, that made me very busy and I'm very happy about it, and this past years I changed a lot for good, I'm accepting a lot of different things in my life and always proud of who did I become!!

  • My husband left me for another woman three months ago and ever since then my life have been filled with pains sorrow and heart break because he was my first love whom i have spent my entire life with.   • I treat everyone I interact with at work like a person, not as a means to an end. Sometimes that means providing them with some emotional support or re-organising my plans to get work done to take into account their needs at that moment in time. If I see that someone is struggling, I try to make that five minutes to grab a cup of tea and go somewhere quiet for a chat. Most of all I try (though I sometimes fail) not to judge or pre-judge people... we are all but human.

  • We replaced our stress management policy and approach with an emotional wellbeing handbook and manager's guide, based on the principles outlined here. We trained a group of staff to act as "friendly faces" and also run occasional wellbeing activities on things like meditation. Our sickness absence for stress / anxiety / depression reduced significantly following this.

  • Yesterdy I shared news about marketing with my friend Marta to help her with her website. I did a massage to my friend Iza, I listened my support group yesterday and shared my deep thoughts and reflections. I shared my own issues and showed them that I trusted them. I was kind to my dentist, i smiled to him and showed i was grateful. I appreciated my sister when she called me. I did small movies; best moments for me and my two friends. I wished all the best to Marzena because of her birthsday. I gave a birsthday card and found a good movie for Marta and me because of my birthsday. i said to Agnieszka I liked her outlook.

  • L-eaning is great if you payateanchend to your teacher you learn all kinds of thing like one synonyms antonyms we learn also learning is also good because Learning is good for overall mental health. The issue of learning is directly tied your mood. The challenge of learning something valuable to your life can often affect the state of your mood and emotions for the better. The more time you have to sit and think about the same things over time, the more troubled your mind and emotions may become as a result. Bad feelings can easily fester and grow in such a weakened learning atmosphere.

  • I was brought up a Christian and taught to love others (show compassion) as God loves me. Even though over the years the specific beliefs I have about God have varied, if I keep to the simple aim of showing compassion,love and forgiveness I feel I'm close to God and contributing to the goodness in the world. When I don't manage it, God is forgiving towards me, and I pick up and try again.

  • For me it's more about being mentally aware and look at things from a variety of viewpoints and not just one perspective. Reading is important of course and talking with other people out of my stereotype. Going out and With Friends and having some Smiles together makes me feel good. Also after a long day or a little bit of stress I like to drink a cold beer. Also if I am having personal issues having me time helps overall you have to be who you are and not no one else and go with what you feel in your heart.

  • I have founded a nonprofit organization called "The Happy Project e.V." with friends to encourage children and young people to believe in their individuals talents, to boost their creativity and to strengthen our community. Our mission is to show that great things can also be achieved by doing small things. After a year more than 40 volunteers have joined "The Happy Project e.V." and help us spread the message "Small Project. Great Impact." It really makes me happy seeing how one small idea become something big and makes others happy :)

  • I am in charge of making sure the technicians have a schedule for each month. On their tasks sheets and monthly board, I will include a motivational quote or a sticky with a positive thing they've done that I have noticed. In addition to brightening someone's day, I believe that good reinforcement transpires to more good actions.

  • Give friends, colleagues and parents a lift to somewhere they need to go. Buy hot drinks for homeless people. See someone I know in need and ask if there's anything I can do to help. Take on some of my colleagues' work load to lighten things. Research ideas and subjects on behalf of others to find solutions to problems. Let someone with just a few items at the till go infront of me with a full trolley.

  • I can remember going to a counsellor due to work stress from manager bullying when he turned round and said that my biggest bully was myself as I was always comparing myself to others and setting ridiculously high standards. After my initial shock and anger I realised he was right. Now I am happy for others who have achieved a promotion or an award it doesn't mean I am less of a person because I haven't. I actually took a grade lower job and feel much happier.

  • I spend a lot of time comparing myself to others and this has really had a negative impact on my self esteem. I often compare the way that I look to others, judging & criticizing the way that I look and often placing myself of little value. However, I continue to tell myself that "I am worthwhile" and that I have a pretty amazing life yaknow.

  • Today, I brought mindfulness into my day (Action 7). I had many errands, but caught myself when I was having negative thoughts about them and tried to see the bright side. I may feel rushed in a crowded grocery store, but I am glad to have the money to buy groceries. In the world, there are some countries where whole communities don't have a grocery store, let alone enough food. I am thankful I am not in that situation.
